Abstract
► Bacteria of cultivated soils developed tolerance to Cu, Zn and Cd. ► Bacterial tolerance depended on metal concentration and length of cultivation. ► Metal tolerance in fungi was higher than bacteria and independent from the length of cultivation. ► Bacteria were more sensitive to Cd than Cu and Zn.
