Abstract
⺠Sandstone slabs were used to create rockpools and other intertidal habitats. ⺠Temperatures, moisture, water-flow and biofilms were measured. ⺠Rockpools were cooler and water flow was less than in other habitats. ⺠Amounts of moisture and biofilms were greater around rockpools than elsewhere. ⺠Influences of micro-habitats may extend beyond the vicinity of the micro-habitat.
