Abstract
⺠Study aims to assess the survival of native A. parthenogenetica and A. franciscana. ⺠Effects of water temperature, salinity, photoperiod and food supply were studied. ⺠Native Artemia populations showed great variability in physiological response. ⺠There is an apparent adaptation of native Artemia to local conditions. ⺠Chemical barrier, fitness and location suggested as blocking exotic invasion.
