Abstract
⺠We implemented three-dimensional particle tracking techniques. ⺠We tested for the effect of salinity on copepod swimming behavior. ⺠Swimming activity was maximal at the physiologically preferred salinity. ⺠Results suggest a redirection of energy from swimming to osmoregulation.
