VideoSolo, an autonomous video system for high-frequency monitoring of aquatic biota, applied to coral reef fishes in the Glorioso Islands (SWIO)

► We present a new autonomous underwater video system. ► The system is easy to deploy, fully autonomous during 2 months. ► We showed its relevance through reef fish population analysis in a remote place. ► Fish assemblages were variable over time (between hours, days, years). ► These results have implications for monitoring studies.
