Abstract
⺠Bering Sea benthic clam response to changing sea ice algal production is unknown. ⺠Stable isotope analysis could be a useful tool in tracing ice algal in feeding clams. ⺠Isotopically labeled algae (C and N) assimilated into various clam samples. ⺠Assimilation rates and response differed among two species and experimental approach. ⺠Climate impacts on ice algal production could influence clam population dynamics.
