Abstract
⺠Mytilus chilensis, Choromytilus chorus and Aulacomya ater co-occur sympatrically. ⺠M. chilensis have the highest and A. ater the lowest filtration rates and gill areas. ⺠M.chilensis attains the highest and A. ater the lowest size-specific gut contents. ⺠Interspecific differences in gut contents correlates with digestive enzyme activity. ⺠Morpho-functional traits allow M. chilensis to be faster feeder.
