Abstract
► Rock sole nurseries have less density and more predation than English sole nurseries. ► We compare the response of rock sole and English sole to density and predation risk. ► Rock sole change habitats to avoid high densities and predation risk. ► English sole tolerate high density and do not move to avoid predation risk. ► Each species' behavior matches the density and predation conditions of its nursery.
