Abstract
⺠We examined the effects of shoreline on nursery habitat for blue crab. ⺠Shoreline types included bulkheads, rip-rap, Spartina marsh, and Phragmites marsh. ⺠Growth and feeding did not differ among shoreline types. ⺠Predation was substantially higher near bulkheads. ⺠Spartina and Phragmites marshes did not differ in nursery habitat quality.
