Abstract
⺠A. antarctica recruitment to gaps was limited by availability of microsites. ⺠Seedling loss was due to dislodgement by hydrodynamic forces. ⺠Suitable microsites increased the anchoring capacity of seedlings. ⺠Recruitment to gaps allows persistence of A. antarctica among other seagrasses.
