Abstract
► Recent and future impacts of climate change on European marine ecosystems are listed. ► All European seas have shown changes that can be attributed to recent climate change. ► Northern seas are expected to switch from polar to more temperate species. ► Semi-enclosed seas are more vulnerable to loss of endemic species than open seas. ► Adaptive management strategies need usable climate change indicators.
