Abstract

During recent visits to Coral Island, Nayarit, Mexico, 3 species not previously reported as part of the herpetofauna of this island were collected: Rhinella marina, Anolis nebulosus and Hemidactylus frenatus. From these new records the first report of R. marina for an island in the Mexican Pacific is remarkable. The nearest localities to new records are presented and the likely taxonomic confusion in determining Anolis nebulosus is briefly discussed.
