Abstract
⺠Typically, US domestic pork production includes pork produced from imported hogs. ⺠This study quantified the US born and raised hog productivity gains. ⺠Changes in average hog weight of 1.35 lbs per year were seen. ⺠At least 38% of weight gain can be attributed to genetics.
