Abstract
⺠We monitor the rate of total coliforms, thermotolerant coliforms, Escherichia coli and nitrates in groundwater. ⺠We also analyze the groundwater nitrate pollution risk. ⺠94% of the study area present traces of bacteriological contamination. ⺠The urbanized west side of the area presents a high probability of groundwater nitrate pollution risk. ⺠Urgent actions are required for population.
