Abstract
► We incorporate a microscopic plasticity theory into a neural field theory. ► This plasticity model is stable without requiring additional saturation mechanisms. ► We predict spike-rate adaptation from subthreshold stimuli. ► We predict the system-level STDP window seen in paired associative stimulation (PAS). ► We reproduce rTMS frequency dependence, where low and high frequency rTMS trains induce depression and potentiation, respectively.
