Abstract
⺠Metapopulations are spatially sub-divided populations maintained through dispersal. ⺠Infectious diseases are carried by migrants into susceptible host populations. ⺠We find that Allee effects in the colonization rate significantly increase the risk of host extinction. ⺠We show when the presence of another host species make increased migration harmful.
