Toward an evolutionary containment of evolving pathogen-receptors by using an ensemble of multiple mutant ligands: From the viewpoint of fitness landscape in sequence space

► We focused on a coevolution between pathogen's receptors and ligand molecules. ► The coevolution is modeled in terms of fitness landscape in sequence space. ► Against escape-mutant receptors, a set of mutant ligands inhibit the receptors. ► We estimated the effectiveness of this evolutionary containment.
