Abstract
► Dispersal asymmetry does not necessarily affect metapopulation persistence. ► No effect of dispersal asymmetry on extinction risk in regular connectivity patterns. ► Asymmetry of dispersal patterns often correlates with changes in other features. ► Asymmetry in itself might not be a key parameter to be considered in isolation.
