Prediction of GABAA receptor proteins using the concept of Chou's pseudo-amino acid composition and support vector machine

► Our method uses a very efficient concept (PseAAC) and a powerful classifier (SVM). ► We could extract the best features using mRMR feature selection method. ► This method reaches a Matthew's correlation coefficient of 0.88. ► This method achieves a very high overall accuracy (94.12%).
