Abstract
► We propose a new model for phyllotaxis pattern formation. ► It uses a simplified Max-Min principle to determine the birth place of new primordia. ► It also employs two options of primordia interactions during the growing process. ► It is robust against perturbed initial conditions and different growing velocities. ► An indicator for measuring the pattern uniformity is also introduced.
