Abstract
⺠We propose a new model for phyllotaxis pattern formation. ⺠It uses a simplified Max-Min principle to determine the birth place of new primordia. ⺠It also employs two options of primordia interactions during the growing process. ⺠It is robust against perturbed initial conditions and different growing velocities. ⺠An indicator for measuring the pattern uniformity is also introduced.
