Abstract
⺠We describe an asymmetric partnership formation model. ⺠The model is fitted to UK data on sexual activity. ⺠The model is applied to an STD and illustrates the importance of accurate reporting. ⺠Reports by women can be used for lower bound estimates of STD incidence. ⺠Reports by men can be used for upper bound estimates of STD incidence.
