Spray deposition and distribution in a bay laurel crop as affected by nozzle type, air assistance and spray direction when using vertical spray booms

► Ornamental growers in Flanders often rely on handheld sprayers. ► Many studies showed that the use of spray boom systems could be beneficial. ► In preliminary tests, the optimal spray volume for a bay laurel crop was determined. ► The investigated techniques did not seemed to further optimize the vertical boom. ► Some of them could result in a higher bio-efficacy due to a more even spray result.
