Abstract
► An endophytic bacterium SJ-10 was isolated from rice seedlings and characterized as Enterobacter cloacae. ► SJ-10 was used as a living vector for expressing plant lectin. ► The recombinant SJ-10 could colonize rice plants for expressing plant lectin. ► The rice seedlings inoculated with recombinant SJ-10 showed strong resistance to White backed planthopper.
