Abstract
⺠A recessive gene, Tsn1, for resistance to P. nodorum isolate Sn2000 was located on 5BL chromosome in ND735. ⺠The wPt-8285 and wPt-3049 DArt markers flanked Tsn1 at 7.0 cM and 2.9 cM, respectively. ⺠The same gene controls resistance to tan spot (Pyrenophora tritici-repentis) race 2. ⺠This findings support the gene-for-gene hypothesis for wheat-P. nodorum interaction. ⺠This result enhances the utility of ND 735 as a source of multiple disease resistances.
