Abstract
⺠Resilience to soil water deficit was assessed in a network of 14 field experiments. ⺠Seed number and yield were related to soil water potential across experiments. ⺠The slope of responses varied two-fold in a mini panel of 19 maize hybrids. ⺠The resilience of leaf growth to drought was estimated in a phenotyping platform. ⺠Resilience in fields and platform correlated well, allowing estimation at early stages.
