Abstract
⺠Benefits of modified phenology in chickpea are evaluated under current and future climates. ⺠Simulations performed in two contrasting water-limited environments. ⺠Modified crop phenology resulted in significant increase in crop yield (13-18%). ⺠The changes in phenology were even more beneficial under future climates to achieve yield increase (18-24%).
