Abstract
⺠We quantified the effect of climate and management practices on maize. ⺠Maize grain yield and water balance were modelled with CropSyst. ⺠Southern Oscillation Index provided an estimate of seasonal conditions. ⺠Southern Oscillation Index can be used to adjust management practices.
