Abstract
⺠Lentil crops in western Canada mature in cool wet conditions, delaying maturity. ⺠Nitrogen fixation in indeterminate lentil could further delay maturity. ⺠Earliness can be achieved by nitrogen fertility management and cultivar choice. ⺠Growing an early or medium maturity lentil cultivar was likely to produce earliness. ⺠Switching from fixation to nitrogen fertilizer did not enhance earliness.
