Abstract
- Some secondary metabolites of aromatic plants from Lamiaceae family exhibit pesticidal activity.
- Botanical insecticides are safe, environmentally friendly and efficient alternatives to conventional pesticides.
- Insecticide activity and chemical composition of herb extracts isolated by different methods was compared.
- Significant differences between the particular isolates and plants were found.
- The highest insect mortality was achieved applying essential oils and the extracts obtained with supercritical CO2.
