Abstract
⺠Dry preservation is optimal when humidity is low. ⺠Propylene glycol is a poor short term DNA preservative. ⺠Atmospheric water adsorption adversely affects preservation in propylene glycol. ⺠Species-specific differences may affect preservative penetration rates.
