Abstract
⺠The most abundant triacylglycerols (TAGs) in chestnuts contained at least a linoleic acid unit. ⺠Storage time and irradiation treatment showed a significant combined effect. ⺠Effects of gamma-irradiation were slightly higher than those observed for the electron beam. ⺠The higher doses (1 and 3 kGy) exerted marked effects over triacylglycerol profiles. ⺠LDA highlighted TAG profiles as a potential indicator of irradiation treatment.
