Abstract
⺠'Braeburn' apple cortex tissue has significantly higher ascorbic acid compared to 'Gala' apple cortex tissue. ⺠No correlation exists between 'Braeburn' or 'Gala' apple fruit maturity and ascorbic acid quantity. ⺠AgNO3 localization of ascorbic acid was consistent with analytical data. ⺠AsA content is not correlated with CO2 injury in 'Braeburn' apples.
