Abstract
⺠Modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) maintained plum fruit quality. ⺠The use of MAP extended shelf-life up to 3-4 more weeks than controls. ⺠MAP delayed the ripening process of plums by retarding colour change, softening and acidity loss. ⺠These effects were mediated by ethylene inhibition.
