Abstract
⺠Acacia implexa has the potential to become a widespread ecosystem level transformer in South Africa. ⺠However, it is only present at three sites in the Western Cape and does not have large soil stored seed-banks. ⺠Despite vigorous resprouting, A. implexa is a suitable target for eradication, and should be listed as category 1a.
