Abstract
⺠We isolated nine compounds from Schrankia leptocarpa extract ⺠Structures of compounds were established by combination of spectroscopic methods ⺠We evaluated the antiprotozoal activity of isolated compounds ⺠Two compounds showed trypanocidal and antiplasmodial activities in the submicromolar ⺠The most active compound being 1,7-bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-hepten-3-one (IC50 = 0.79 ± 0.17 μM).
