Abstract
⺠The galls on Copaifera langsdorffii are a sink of photoassimilates. ⺠The polysaccharides and soluble sugars contents were higher in galls. ⺠Nitrogen and chlorophyll contents are related to the low photosynthetic activity. ⺠Photosynthesis in gall tissues could provide oxygen to the structure.
