Abstract
⺠Tolerance to short term submergence and salinity was studied. ⺠Chlorophyll a + b decrease and carotenoid increase marked immediate response. ⺠Start of positive acclimation marked by increase in oxalic acid concentration. ⺠Limit of tolerance marked by increase in EL and decrease in total electrolytes. ⺠Can survive submergence < 7 days, hence need water levels to be kept low
