Abstract
⺠Oxidation products are located in the epidermis only. ⺠Leaves and young stems comprise ca. 55% of the product. ⺠Older stems (bark and xylem) lack coloured oxidation products. ⺠Wild tea types are structurally similar to the commercial type. ⺠A combination of anatomical characters is diagnostically useful.
