Abstract
⺠DNA content of 568 buffel grass plants was measured to predict their ploidy levels. ⺠Tetraploid, pentaploid, hexaploid, and septaploid plants were identified. ⺠Aneuploid individuals were also identified. ⺠Chromosome counts of selected plants confirmed ploidy levels from DNA findings. ⺠Chromosome number of euploid plants could be predicted from the DNA data.
