Abstract
⺠The seed bank of Acacia saligna at two densely invaded Western Cape sites was investigated. ⺠A. saligna seed banks are still large despite the 20-year presence of Uromycladium tepperianum. ⺠The largest portion of seed is situated in the upper 0-10 cm of the soil and numbers decline with depth. ⺠A. saligna seed banks were assessed to have a clumped horizontal distribution. ⺠Random sampling is recommended to assess the seed bank size.
