Abstract
⺠We observe mycangial microstructure of the ambrosia beetle, Platypus koryoensis. ⺠Thoracic mycangia have highly adapted substructure for carrying microorganisms. ⺠Other types of cuticular depressions and their possible roles are examined. ⺠Cuticular pores and its relationship to transmit pathogenic fungi are discussed.
