Abstract

Tiphia sternocarinata Allen and Jaynes is newly discovered in Korea. This species is easily distinguished by the almost straight second intercubital vein and the presence of a median longitudinal carina in anterior constricted area of metasomal sternum I. A checklist of the 21 valid species of Korean tiphiid wasps is also provided.
