Abstract
► Hepatic glutathione transferases labeled tzGST1 and tzGST2 were isolated from Tilapia (Tilapia zilli). ► Kinetic properties, substrate specificity and inhibition studies of the two major isoforms showed that are possibly of Pi class. ► Tilapia GSTs are well expressed and are involved in the detoxification of chemical toxins.
