Abstract
⺠We constructed subtractive cDNA libraries between worms exposed to BaP and control. ⺠A total of 2422 new high quality ESTs were obtained in the subtracted cDNA libraries. ⺠Annotation of ESTs suggested complex toxicological responses to BaP in worms. ⺠Expression levels of 50 marker genes illustrated the representative toxic effects. ⺠Results show that the polychaete P. nuntia has a set of inducible tumor-related genes.
