Abstract
⺠Landings composition represent a fairly conservative and regional feature despite fluctuations in total abundances. ⺠Recurrent patterns in fishing histories correspond to different harvest strategies. ⺠Trawl fisheries cluster in the Northern Hemisphere suggesting a correlation with economic potential. ⺠Pelagic-dominated fisheries are related to ecosystems productive regimes. ⺠Low-resolved landings statistics hinder further refinements of management strategies.
