Abstract
⺠The hyperaccumulator Stanleya pinnata accumulated 150 μg selenium (Se) mLâ1 in nectar and 12900 μg Se gâ1 in pollen. ⺠The accumulator Brassica juncea contained much less Se in floral tissues. ⺠High Se concentrations can alter floral traits in B. juncea, whereas S. pinnata was unaffected. ⺠Our study advances the current understanding of phytoremediators and the potential consequences for ecological interactions.
