Abstract
⺠Sugars, organic acids, vitamin C, individual phenolics and total polyphenolics were determined in 23 black currant cultivars. ⺠Different susceptibility to black currant leaf spot (Drepanopeziza ribis) and septoria leaf spot (Septoria ribis). ⺠Susceptible cultivars contained lower levels of total analyzed sugars. ⺠High levels of hydroxycinnamic acids, epicatechin, and myricetin, kaempferol and quercetin glycosides were detected in cultivars resistant to leaf spot diseases.
