Abstract
⺠Leaf drop of Coprosma affected by nutrition and irradiance was studied. ⺠Content of soluble carbohydrates and mineral were analyzed for keeping quality. ⺠Decrease in ethanol soluble fructose is associated with leaf drops. ⺠Tissue nitrogen (N) content of leaves higher than 4% prevented leaf drop. ⺠This is the first report that leaf drop is suppressed with increased leaf N content.
