Abstract
⺠We investigated the in vitro propagation of Cyrtanthus hybrid influenced by explants preparation methods and plant growth regulators. ⺠Twin-scale explants produced significantly more bulblets than a single-scale on a MS medium supplemented with 2.5 mg/l BA and 0.5 mg/l NAA. ⺠Single-scale explants with basal plate tissue attached regenerated bulblets without supplemented NAA. ⺠Single-scale explants without basal plate tissue attached did not regenerate when NAA was not added. ⺠Bulblet size was increased as the sucrose concentration was increased to 9%.
