Abstract
⺠Pollen of all clones lost viability within 7 days stored at room temperature. ⺠Lagerstroemia pollen is best maintained over time when pollen is stored under refrigeration. ⺠A storage temperature of â20 °C often improved pollen longevity as compared to 4 °C. ⺠Lowering the storage temperature to â80 °C is normally unnecessary, but not deleterious. ⺠Crapemyrtle pollen remained viable for 75-105 days when refrigerated.
